SoftMaker Office 2006 comes equipped with its own text editor (called TextMaker), and its own worksheet (called PlanMaker). You can easily export the data either to one of the two corresponding formats of MS Office, DOC and XLS (while the graphic look is very similar except it lacks a few things) or to OpenOffice.
It consumes less resources and space than the huge Microsoft program, and is more than enough for those in need of something a little more basic in the office.
